Todd
Sawyer
Originally from a little
town in Washington State, Spanaway, Sawyer moved to Seattle in 1989 and began
his stand-up comedy career. Todd has performed on cruise ships, college campuses,
and on some of the most famous comedy stages in the country, including Carolines,
The Improv, and Catch A Rising Star.
Sawyer won the prestigious
Seattle Stand-up Comedy Competition and he made his first television appearance
on a local show, Standing Room Only. Since then Todd has appeared on Comedy
Centrals Make Me Laugh and Stand Up/ Stand Up. He released his first comedy
CD;
You Get What You Pay For
and recently performed on The Game Show Networks National Lampoons Funny
Money.
Todds stand-up act uses
his unique sense of humor mixed with his sardonic dark side, providing big
laughs. Weaving stories, loaded with jokes, and sprinkled with cynicism,
Sawyer creates his own original style. Avoiding the standard set-up /punchline
of most comedians, Todd delivers the tasty treat of laughter.
From his opening joke, I
dont pick on the audience thats not my thing
. What I prefer to do is:
judge you
.know that I am better than you, and keep it to myself., the audience
realizes Sawyer says the things we are all thinking, at least some of the
time. He fearlessly creates tension then releases it with laughter. His confidence
and timing are great.
Sawyer is currently writing
jokes for PAXs new game show, Dirty Rotten Cheater. He has written and
produced for ComedyWorld Radio Networks Morning Sickness, was a segment
producer on SonyTriStars, Everybodys Talking, and has written weekly
columns for ComedyWorld.com and GemMaster.com. Todd and a writing partner,
Kivi Rogers, optioned a screenplay, The RHO House Boyz.
An avid sports fan, Sawyer
spends his free time playing golf and basketball. He now makes his home in
Los Angeles with his wife of seven years, Amy.
